·         Update your showreel/portfolio constantly
·         Don’t just apply for work without knowing what the company does

Lucas Hardi, Bethesda

·         Talked about various art styles
·         Style can range from photo-realistic to heavily stylised to completely abstract (a triangle)
·         Paintings and fine art are great inspiration for the tone of a game, but not necessarily to design the game world

Stewart Gilray, Oddworld Inhabitants

·         Showcased their new projects Oddworld: Abe’s Odysee- New & Tasty Edition
·         Explained that HD rereleases are mainly to keep old fans interested in a brand and remind them of just how fun the games were, while also trying to attract new players

Tomek Zawada, CD Projekt Red

·         Worked on The Witcher and The Witcher 2
·         Explained that animation in RPGs tend to be more focused and detailed
·         Implored potential animators to work on epic RPG games, as their abilities are needed and will shine

Joel Smith, Sony Entertainment

·         Showcased their new Book of Spells along with the new media Wonderbook
·         I noticed that with the concept art, the final game’s look was in complete contrast to the quite revolutionary concept, so I was a little disappointed with that game

·         Showcasing a new game for iPad, Tengami
·         UK-based
·         Touch-based games are on the rise
·         Also, indie games are becoming ever-more popular

Jaromir Plachy & Peter Stehlik, Amanita Design

·         A showcase of their debut game, Botanicula

·         Worked at Bizarre Creations and Psygnosis.
·         Talked mainly about his career
·         Transitioned from early Commodore, to MegaDrive and PlayStation
