Game On!- Tristan Monster Concept Art

This week, I moved on to doing the idea for Tristan, the teenage son of our protagonist. In monster form, I wanted to suggest that he was rushed to hospital after the fire. I've depicted him as a scorched, bandaged corpse with third/fourth degree burns. As with the Dana monster, I did three iterations.

My first iteration was Tristan bandaged in bloodstained wrappings, while his burned red flesh sports multiple black areas of charring all over. His left hand has burned off completely as well as the majority of his left foot.

On the second go, I wanted his flesh to look a lot more burned overall, as well as the bandages sustaining fire damage. I also highlighted the bloodstains.

In the last iteration, I went for a slightly different approach related to the feel I wanted to give to the monster. I wanted him to be 'smoky' and be wheezing from all the burns he's suffered. To add to this image, his skin is incredibly charred all over, being almost universally scorched. Underneath his blackened bandaged, a few embers are still glowing, as if his insides are eternally burning.
I like the last iteration the best as it goes hand-in-hand with the image I had for the monster. The first image I feel is a little too bright, and it suggests that he's not too damaged after his burning.
